Shannon Blake Skelton, PhD is an educator, writer and scholar at Kansas State University. He has also published on topics ranging from American popular culture to punk music and graphic novels. He founded and directed the Madison Young Playwrights program in Madison, Wisconsin in which he and other teaching artists worked with more than 100 middle and high school dramatists to create 10 minute plays. His work includes The Late Work of Sam Shepard (Bloomsbury, 2015) and Wes Craven: Interviews (University Press of Mississippi, 2019).  Current areas of research include Secondary Teacher Education, Critical Pedagogy, Late 20th Century American Drama, Science Fiction Film, and Horror Cinema.
